1. What age groups can join JTR Kart Academy?
JTR offers programs for children and teenagers aged 6–17 years, divided into Cadet (6–12) and Junior (13–17) categories. We also offer private coaching for drivers of various experience levels.
2. Does my child need previous karting experience?
No. Our Beginner Programs are designed for first-time drivers, while Advanced and Private Coaching sessions are available for experienced racers looking to improve their performance.
3. Which course should I choose?
The right program depends on your child's age, experience, and goals. If you're unsure, contact our team and we'll recommend the most suitable option.
4. What is included in the course?
Every program includes professional coaching, safety training, track sessions, kart and safety equipment, official timing, lunch, and a Certificate of Achievement upon successful completion.
5. Is all safety equipment provided?
Yes. JTR provides helmets, race suits, gloves, neck protection, and all required safety equipment. Participants only need to wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.
6. Who are the coaches?
Training is led by Jasper Thong, former Audi Hong Kong professional racer, Asia and China karting champion, HKAA Level 1 Competition Karting Coach, together with experienced members of the JTR coaching team.
7. Where does the training take place?
All sessions are held at the 1.2 km Shajing Karting Track in Shenzhen, one of Southern China's premier karting circuits.
8. Will my child receive a certificate?
Yes. Every participant who successfully completes the program receives an official Junior Karting Certificate of Achievement.
9. How long is each training day?
Training runs from 8:15 AM to 4:00 PM, including driving sessions, coaching, theory, lunch, and performance reviews.
10. Is lunch included?
Yes. Lunch is included for all participants during the course.
11. How many students are in each group?
Group sizes are kept small to ensure every student receives individual attention and coaching from our instructors.
12. What happens if the weather is bad?
For safety reasons, the schedule may be adjusted in the event of severe weather. If necessary, JTR will reschedule the affected sessions.
13. How do I reserve a place?

14. Can parents watch the training?
Yes. Parents are welcome to observe from designated viewing areas while respecting the safety rules of the circuit.
